Launching Fall 2026

Find more good games

Bring an army.
Find your table.

Meet nearby players, arrange a matchup, and help make East Atlanta a place where it is easier to get miniatures off the shelf and onto the table.

Find opponents. Roll dice. Keep EAV playing.

More games.
Stronger scene.

Our planned game nights will include structured Recruit tables, but the night is not only for newcomers. Meet at Joystick, find an opponent, and head to Dice City for a pickup game, or arrange a matchup ahead of time in the East Atlanta Comics / Dice City Discord.

We want to give local players a reliable rally point, expand the tabletop scene in EAV, and put more games on more tables. Every gathering supports Dice City, Joystick, and the independent nerd spaces that give this neighborhood somewhere to connect.

  1. Launching Fall 2026

    Happy hour and pickup games

Bring an army and form a same-night matchup before the walk to Dice City. Use Discord to line up an opponent or agree on a system and game size in advance.

  2. Growing next

    League play

Regular pairings will make it easier to find opponents, try new armies, and keep a campaign moving. Our first friendly bracket will reward participation, games played, and varied achievements instead of tracking win-loss standings.

  3. Future objective

    Tournaments and prizes

As the player base and table capacity grow, we plan to run competitive events with prizes alongside the casual games, campaigns, and pickup nights that keep the wider community active.

Coordinate first.
Or just roll the dice.

Happy Hour is the rally point. Arrive with a game and opponent already planned, or bring a bag of dice and a prayer and we’ll try to connect you with a table.

Wednesday is the current plan

Meetup will announce the final recurring weekday. These launch-night times remain the plan.

Before game night

Signal your game

Post your system, format, player count, and what you can bring in the Dice City Discord. We can help find players and reserve a table for the game.

6:00 PM

Meet at Joystick

Meet your planned opponent, or ask a Commander to help find a pickup game. We’ll introduce players and announce open games before the group heads out.

7:00 to 10:00 PM

Play at Dice City

Bring enough miniatures for another player when possible, or be ready to teach a curious newcomer. That makes an unplanned game much easier to get onto the table.

$10 Dice City table fee

Tables are first come, first served. Wasted Wargaming adds no fee and requires no purchase. Joining Happy Hour or observing games is free.

Bring the game
you want to play.

Our first teaching events focus on popular, approachable games, but this community loves tabletop games and miniature wargames of every size, age, and level of obscurity.

Bring what you want to play, teach, or share. Talk to a Commander at Happy Hour or suggest a game in the Dice City Discord. We’ll always try to help interested players find one another and get another game onto the table.

Your next opponent may already be there.

Discord is the main place for matchmaking and day-to-day coordination. Post what you play, what you can bring, and when you are free.
